Recent study showed that the group of compounds that exist in the Blueberry could fight obesity by inhibiting fat formation in the body tissues. Researchers at the University of Texas women applying blueberry polyphenols on rat tissue samples to see if the compound will stop some of the cells into fat storage cells.

According to findings presented at the meeting 'Attempt biologist' American Society for Nutrition in Washington, those who received the highest dose of blueberry polyphenols reduces the fat molecules in the network by 73 percent. While the lowest dose to reduce the fat content of 27 percent.

Previous research has shown that polyphenols, found in high amounts in the blueberries with a number of health benefits, including lowering the risk of heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure.

In addition, plant polyphenols can resist the development of fat cells and also promote lipolysis adipogenesis, which is a solution of lipids (fats). However, the study authors wanted to see if new polyphenols may also inhibit obesity at the molecular level.

The scientists noted that their study was only a research laboratory. "We still need to test this dose in humans, to ensure there are no side effects and see if the dose as effective measures," says Mogh Shiwan, author of the study.

"There is a growing field of research. To determine the best dosage for humans will be important. The promise that blueberries to help reduce adipose tissue (fat) that forms in the body," he added.
