Under these conditions, the Islamic banking industry is growing rapidly in Indonesia is considered to play a major role to encourage the growth of national economy. The government also has involvement in maintaining kemashlatan people," said Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), Halim Alamsyah, in a seminar in Yogyakarta, Wednesday (20 / 4).

Professor of Banking and Financial Regulation Loughborough University, Maximilian JB Hall added a British Islamic banking industry to survive the global crisis because it is not associated with the market mechanism and without speculation. He added that in 2010 the growth of global Islamic banking assets reached 8.9 percent with total assets of 900 billion U.S. dollars. "The amount is increased more than double the growth rate in 2006," he said.
